qEEG Assessment

Quantitative EEG Brain Mapping

A qEEG (quantitative electroencephalogram) brain map provides a detailed analysis of your brain's electrical activity. By measuring brain waves at 19 different locations across your scalp, we create a comprehensive picture of how your brain is functioning.

This data is compared to normative databases to identify areas where your brain may be over-active, under-active, or poorly connected. These findings guide our treatment recommendations and neurofeedback protocols.

Objective Assessment

Quantitative data provides an objective measure of brain function, removing guesswork from diagnosis and treatment planning.

Personalized Protocols

Your unique brain patterns inform customized neurofeedback training protocols designed specifically for your needs.

Progress Tracking

Follow-up qEEGs allow us to objectively measure improvements and adjust treatment as needed.

Identify Patterns

Detect patterns associated with anxiety, depression, ADHD, brain injury, and other conditions.

Brain Training

Neurofeedback Therapy

Neurofeedback is a form of biofeedback that trains your brain to function more optimally. By providing real-time feedback about your brain activity, you learn to self-regulate and improve brain function over time.

How Neurofeedback Works

During a neurofeedback session, sensors placed on your scalp measure your brain's electrical activity in real-time. This information is displayed on a screen as a video, game, or other visual feedback.

When your brain produces the desired wave patterns, you're rewarded (the video plays smoothly, you score points, etc.). When your brain deviates from the target, the feedback changes (the video dims, the game pauses, etc.).

Through this process of operant conditioning, your brain learns to produce healthier patterns. Over time, these improvements become automatic and lasting.

Applications

Conditions We Address

Neurofeedback has been shown to be effective for a wide range of neurological and psychological conditions.

Anxiety & Depression

Balance brain wave patterns associated with mood disorders.

ADHD & Focus Issues

Train the brain to improve attention and concentration.

Brain Fog

Address cognitive sluggishness often seen in CIRS and chronic illness.

Traumatic Brain Injury

Support recovery and optimize brain function after injury.

Sleep Disorders

Regulate brain patterns that affect sleep quality.

Peak Performance

Optimize brain function for executives, athletes, and creatives.

Memory Concerns

Support cognitive function and memory retention.

Migraines & Headaches

Address neurological patterns associated with chronic headaches.

The Process

Your Brain Health Journey

01

Initial Consultation

We discuss your symptoms, health history, and goals to determine if brain mapping and neurofeedback are appropriate for you.

02

qEEG Brain Map

A 19-channel EEG cap records your brain's electrical activity. The process is painless and takes about 45 minutes.

03

Analysis & Report

Your brain map is analyzed and compared to normative databases. We identify areas of dysregulation and create a treatment plan.

04

Neurofeedback Training

During sessions, you watch a video or play a game while sensors monitor your brain waves. The feedback trains your brain toward optimal patterns.

05

Progress Assessment

Regular assessments track your improvements. Follow-up brain maps objectively measure changes in brain function.

CIRS & Brain Health

Addressing Neurological Symptoms in CIRS

Brain fog, memory issues, and difficulty concentrating are among the most common and debilitating symptoms of CIRS. The chronic inflammation caused by biotoxin illness directly impacts brain function.

Our brain health services complement CIRS treatment by providing objective assessment of neurological impact and targeted neurofeedback training to support cognitive recovery.

Many of our CIRS patients find that adding neurofeedback to their treatment protocol accelerates their cognitive recovery and helps address lingering neurological symptoms.
